I’ve heard that you’re also a copy editor. Is that True?

Yes, it is! I’ve been a freelance copy editor since 2006, when the magazine where I was a staff copy editor folded.

What types of material do you copy edit?

Everything from advertorials to corporate communications to web copy to book manuscripts.

Who are some of your clients?

The Hollywood Reporter, Interactions, ACM (Association for Computing Machinery), Darby Films, the Atlantic Council, Hearst Luxury Collection, Ergo Editorial, and Random House Children’s Books are among my clients.

I’ve also worked with Rolling Stone, Allure, InStyle, Popular Mechanics, and Scholastic.

What are your Rates?

My rates start at $45 per hour.

Is it also true that you’re a copywriter?

Yes, it is!

What’s your experience with that?

I started as a copywriter for International Male, the (in)famous men’s “fashion” catalog. I had the freedom to use words like “snazzual” (snazzy + casual) and “halcyon” in ad copy, and use them I did.

I’ve also written book promo copy for warehouse club stores — including Costco, Sam’s Club, and BJ’s Wholesale Club — and advertorials for Harper’s Bazaar.

What are your rates?

My copywriting rates depend on the project. If you’re interested in learning more, contact me and I’ll be happy to discuss details with you!
